Allulose, the game-changing sugar substitute
Store AlluloseSo, it looks like today's topic is allulose...
Well, this is a sugar that the body cannot metabolize like sugar, even though it tastes just like it. You won't believe its taste!
In animal studies, blood sugar levels did not rise, and insulin levels did not rise either.
It is a strong GLP1 secretagogue, and when consumed with food, blood sugar levels are at least 10% lower than when consuming the same food without allulose.
Animal studies have also shown that it reduces abdominal fat, liver fat, and insulin resistance, and improves mitochondrial function, thus energy.
All of this leads to weight loss and a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes.
None of the other non-nutritive sweeteners have such positive effects.
In my opinion, allulose will take over the world of calorie-free sweeteners in the coming decades as its production becomes more affordable.
